In general, setting up your on-line grocery list should be as simple as entering your google email address in Preferences & Accounts in GroceryList, then going to your Google email and clicking the "Activate" link in the email you received from us. There are some scenarios that make it a little more complicated, however, so I've turned it into a 3-step process.
To do this, click on this link: http://grocerylist.javasanity.org/groceryList.jsp. You will be redirected to a google server to log-in. If you do not have a google account, you can create one at this time as well. Here is what the google log-in page will look like:

After logging in, you will be re-directed to your on-line Grocery List. The following picture shows what that will look like. I have underlined in red the important data for this step. When you log-in as yourself, that is where you will find the email address google provides us when you log-in.

The next step is to enter the email address into the "Google Account" section in Preferences & Accounts in the GroceryList app on your device. Here is an example of what that looks like:

The last step is to open the email and click on the first link (the one with a code in it). Here is what the activate email will look like:

There are three possible reasons why you didn't receive the email:
Follow these steps to cause a new email to be sent:
Practically speaking, it's just a two step process, but over time I've found that it's not always as easy as that. The most common issue is that Google allows you to use a variety of different forms of the same email address, but it only provides our app one form. For example, you can put a period anywhere in your Google email address and it will still be delivered to your email account, but that may not match what Google tells us your email address is.
